The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works has partnered with the Barnstable Adult Community Center to deliver an ongoing Sewer Expansion Workshop aimed at helping residents better understand their role and responsibilities during sewer construction and sewer connection.
Recently, the team presented an overview of the Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP), which included a high-level overview of the nitrogen issue within Cape Cod’s waters, why the Town is implementing its CWMP, what property owners can expect during construction and private sewer connection, and a look at the various communications methods used to engage with the community. Afterwards, a question-and-answer session provided attendees with the opportuity to discuss directly with Town staff.
