As of Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 9:42 AM, the following bathing beach updates have been issued:

Eugenia Fortes Beach is closed to swimming. It has exceeded the standard for Enterococci in bathing water. This beach must be posted closed to swimming within 24 hours after one exceedance as per the Deaprtment of Public Health (DPH). A re-test sample was collected, and Town staff are awaiting the results.

Keyes (Sea Street) Beach remains closed to swimming due to high bacterial counts. Multiple water samples, collected daily since last week, were tested and failed. The geometric mean is well above the standard. New samples continue to be collected- and we are awaiting the results.
