The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works hosted a Public Informational Meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at the Barnstable Adult Community Center to discuss sewer design plans for the Phinney’s Lane Neighborhoods Sewer Expansion Project.

Town Engineer Griffin Beaudoin, P.E. gave an overview of the Town’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) and shared design details about the upcoming Phinney’s Lane Neighborhoods Sewer Expansion Project, which is scheduled to begin construction in fall 2026.

After the presentation, Department of Public Works staff were available to answer questions from attendees. This was the first meeting of the project, with a second meeting anticipated for late summer/early fall 2026, after a contractor has been selected. Prior to that meeting, property owners identified within the project will receive certified mail with additional details about the project, including a sewer connection form to complete, which provides the Town with information about their existing plumbing and property layout.
