Starting Monday, November 3, 2025, the Town of Barnstable will commence its seasonal Public Roads Improvement Program. Over the next several weeks, work is scheduled to take place on the following identified roadways:
- Eel River Road, Osterville
- Fresh Holes Road, Hyannis
- Hinckley Road, Hyannis
- Hiramar Road, Hyannis
- Walton Avenue, Hyannis
- Turtleback Road, Marstons Mills
- Tupelo Road, Marstons Mills
- Whitmar Road, Marstons Mills
- Asa Meigs Road, Marstons Mills
- Old Mill Road, Marstons Mills
- School Street, Marstons Mills
Work will occur Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, weather dependent. Construction activity will occur in various phases including milling of the roadways, structure adjustments, paving, and landscaping restoration as needed. Drainage improvements are also anticipated in some areas.
Throughout construction local residential, business, and emergency access will be maintained. Adjustments to traffic flow and temporary detours may be necessary to safely complete portions of the work. Traffic control will be available to assist in directing motorists as needed.
