The Town of Barnstable Department of Public Works hosted a Public Informational Meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Barnstable Adult Community Center to discuss the Route 28 West Sewer Expansion Project.
Town Engineer Griffin Beaudoin, P.E. gave an overview of the Town’s Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) and shared details about the upcoming Route 28 West Sewer Expansion Project, which is scheduled to begin construction in early 2026.
After the presentation, Department of Public Works staff were available to answer questions from attendees. This was the second of two public meetings, both of which were recorded and can be viewed on the sewer expansion project page under “Route 28 West Sewer Expansion Project”. Property owners identified within the project area have also received a certified mailing with additional details about the project, incluidng a sewer connection form to complete, which provides the Town with information about their existing plumbing and property layout.
