The Town of Barnstable’s contractor, C.C. Construction, Inc., is scheduled to remobilize its crew and equipment along Shootflying Hill Road, in preparation for resuming sewer installation as part of the Centerville Village Sewer Expansion Project – North Phase. Pre-construction activities are expected on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 through Friday, September 5, 2025, and may include repositioning and staging of construction vehicles, tree limbing, and utility markouts. To facilitate this work, a one-lane alternating traffic pattern will be implemented. Traffic control personnel will be onsite to assist motorists as needed.
Following this remobilization, during the week of September 8, 2025, C.C. Construction is expected to resume in-road excavation and sewer construction, which will require the re-closure of Shootflying Hill Road. Additional communications to follow.
As always, please slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas and follow posted safety and detour signs.
