Please note, when utilizing Waze, Google Maps, and other related navigational apps, only road or full-lane closures can be displayed. Single-lane alternating traffic modifications are used frequently during construction, but cannot be displayed via navigational apps. The Town of Barnstable’s Waze for Cities Partnership allows us to report construction-related road closures and safety hazards to Waze and Google Map drivers in real-time. Each week, the Barnstable Department of Public Works collaborates with key stakeholders including local emergency personnel, the public school system, USPS, and more, to discuss planned construction and associated traffic impacts.
