Construction on the Nitrogen Removal and Headworks Upgrade Project at the Water Pollution Control Facility is in full swing, with the walls of the new deoxygenation tank/aeration splitter structure being formed, as well as the beginnings of the Membrane Bio-Reactor Tanks, Process Building, Intermediate Pump Station, and Fine Screen Building. Other work includes site preparation for the fourth aeration tank and the new Headworks Building.

The Department of Public Works is working on a series of short videos that will explain each step in the wastewater treatment process. Those will be shared via social media, as well as on the project page at BarnstableWaterResources.com/WPCF.
