Keyes Public Beach remains closed for swimming. Bacteria counts observed within multiple samples recently taken were above the geomean State Bathing Beach standards.
Pet advisories are being posted today at Bearse Pond and at Shubaels Pond (public access area only) due to “moderate” levels of Cyanobacteria observed within samples taken from these ponds A pet advisory also remains posted at Lovell’s Pond.
Long Pond in Marstons Mills was resampled on June 21, 2021 and the results show low concentrations of Cyanobacteria resulting in a lowered tier status. This pond is no longer under a pet advisory and the previously posted sign will be removed today.
