As of Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 4:44PM, Eugenia Fortes Beach has been re-opened to swimming.The re-opening comes after a water re-test sample collected reported appropriate conditions.
Please note, Kalmus Beach (ocean side) remains posted “Closed to Swimming’ due to exceedances of Enterococci Bacteria above the geometric mean threshold. The last three samples revealed elevated results. This beach will likely remain closed for several days. Additional samples continue to be collected each day for analysis at the certified laboratory.
