Update:
Keyes Beach is closed to swimming due to high Enterococci Bacteria counts which exceeded both the single count and geomean standard as set by Massachusetts Bathing Beach Regulations 105 CMR 445.000. A second sample was taken today and is currently incubating. Additional samples will be taken daily. This beach will be posted as closed as required. It may be closed for several days or longer, depending on the results of future re-sampling and testing.
Wequaquet Lake Yacht Club is closed to swimming due to high single count of Escherichia coli (E. coli). The beach will be posted as closed as required per the Massachusetts Bathing Beach Regulations 105 CMR 445.000. A second sample was taken today. The Town will be notified of the second sample’s results tomorrow afternoon, after incubation and analysis at the County laboratory.
[NOTE: Water samples taken from Lake Wequaquet public beach located at Shootflying Hill Road meets the State standards and this beach will remain open to swimming.}
