(Overnight Paving of Route 28) Starting Monday, April 22, 2023, a contractor for the Town of Barnstable will commence paving on Route 28 during off-peak, overnight hours. Construction will occur from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday through Thursday evenings, weather permitting.
Work will occur in various stages including milling of the roadways, structure adjustments, leveling, and paving. Work is anticipated to take three weeks to complete.

A single-direction detour will be required for eastbound traffic on Main Street, Hyannis, from the West End Rotary to Sea Street Extension. Westbound traffic will be maintained, and Stevens Street will remain open and accessible. Work will continue Monday through Friday, from approximately 8:30AM to 5:00PM, weather permitting.
